CEA Sector Report 2019

Welcome to this 3rd Sector Report on the UK construction equipment industry. It comes five years since the last one in 2014. At that time our industry and the world economy was still recovering from the financial crisis triggered in 2008 – and at the same time investing heavily in Stage IV emissions compliant products. We can proudly report that the latest figures show record revenue for the sector.

Today the challenges facing our industry are considerably more diverse and disruptive to the established ways of doing things. Yet they also represent significant opportunities, following on from the further environmental improvements represented by the introduction of Stage V. What the full Report concludes is that the UK remains a good place to both manufacture and supply construction equipment. The objective is to continue to adapt and evolve to maintain our position in the world.

This report has been co-funded by the UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).  Research and report preparation has been completed by Knibb, Gormezano and Partners (KGP), a UK management and technology consultancy.
