CEA COVID-19 Bulletin #12

As we move towards the next lockdown review on 7 May, our bulletin content will progressively move to cover strategies for a safe return to work. As reported in Friday’s bulletin #11, HMG have commissioned EY.com to produce a document outlining best practice for the use of PPE and maintaining social distancing in the workplace. We are told that there is an announcement due on Sunday.
As PPE and establishing an operational best practice are key to the successful resumption of production, the CEA would like to host a forum to exchange information between manufacturers and share experiences and tips for making a safe working environment. Following a disappointing take up of the CEA WhatsApp group, we’d welcome your ideas as to the best platform to use in order to maximise participation. Comments can be anonymous if you wish and information should not be commercially sensitive or compromise competition law. For example, it would be useful to share sources for the enhanced PPE that is likely to be required.
