Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology makes its debut at leading film industry event

Taylor Construction Plant Ltd (TCP) and BOC, the UK’s leading industrial gases supplier, are bringing their innovative Ecolite LED hydrogen fuel cell powered lighting tower to this year’s FOCUS exhibition in London. TCP and BOC will be sharing their stand in the Green Zone with J.B Locations who are the first UK supplier within the film industry to add the hydrogen fuel cell lighting tower to its fleet.

Sustainability will play a major role at FOCUS 2017 through the Green Zone, an area dedicated to addressing the environmental impact of the production industry. TCP, BOC and J.B Locations will be showcasing the HYMERA®-powered, eco-friendly Ecolite lighting tower and offering advice to production professionals about lowering their carbon footprint.

Visitors to the stand will be introduced to the green attributes of the Ecolite TH2 lighting tower and the Ecolite WH2 which offers compact local lighting. Both models use BOC’s HYMERA® fuel cell as a power source. It produces energy by combining hydrogen with oxygen in a process which is virtually silent. Its only emission is water vapour.

“With the increased pressure on the film industry to reduce its carbon footprint by embracing products which are emission and pollutant free there is a definite market for hydrogen fuel cell powered products,” says Ben Patton from J.B Locations.

The Ecolite-TH2 and Ecolite WH2 mobile lighting products can be used in enclosed spaces and provide a green energy solution for off-grid and temporary lighting applications. They offer the best possible illumination with zero emissions making them the ideal choice for the film industry as well as events and construction.

Focus 2017 is at the Business Design Centre, London on December 5th and 6th
