The CEA have been appointed by the British Embassy in Santiago to manage the UK Group at the largest mining show in Latin America in 2015. Half the stands on the UK Pavilion are already sold and space is very limited.

The highly experienced UKTI and British Embassy Santiago teams for the Chilean Mining High Value Opportunity (HVO) will be on hand before and during the exhibition to assist you with contacts and introductions to key players. The British Embassy will host a UK networking reception during the exhibition – giving you the opportunity to meet leading companies in the Latin American mining industry in a relaxed setting.

Exhibiting on the UK Pavilion makes your life easy – the CEA provides a one stop shop for all your exhibiting needs. You don’t even need to speak Spanish to organise your stand! The UK branded turnkey shell scheme stands give you stand space, construction, electricity, lighting, carpet and a set of furniture. The CEA will take care of all the organisational headaches – leaving you free to concentrate on setting your priorities and achieving your goals at the show.

Chile is an easy country in which to do business. You don’t need a visa if you are a UK citizen and we have even negotiated a 20% discount with British Airways on flights from the UK (via Madrid) to help you get there.

Why Chile? Chile is currently one of the major mining powers in the world, having huge reserves of copper (31.8% of global production), lithium, iodine, gold, silver, molybdenum, and natural nitrates among other metallic and non-metallic minerals throughout its territory. Major mining houses operating in Chile include: BHP Billiton, Barrick, GlencoreXstrata, AngloAmerican, Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold, Antofagasta Minerals, SQM and the national state company, Codelco.

Why Antofagasta? The mining capital of Chile

The Region of Antofagasta is the main mining centre of Chile, responsible for 54% of domestic copper production, as well as 100% of the production of lithium carbonate, lithium chloride, lithium hydroxide, and potassium compounds, among others.
