Purchasing Managers’ Index for the UK construction market – June 2020

Below is a link to the latest monthly update from IHS Markit. The index in June bounced back to reach a level of 55.3, suggesting a sharp turnaround in construction activity, after recording 28.9 in May. The latest survey indicates a boost to both activity and confidence as the phased return to work continues. The housing building sector was the strongest performing in the June survey.
The index for the Eurozone construction market also showed a strong recovery in June, but only reached 48.3.
