BAV Crushers began manufacturing crusher buckets in 2010. The very first model they
developed was their successful BAV-CB3, which was aimed at mini excavators from 3.5 to 6 tonnes operating weight.
The BAV-CB3 was highly successful, but as BAV Crushers developed other models, both larger and smaller, their ability to extract maximum performance from compact attachments also evolved. By late 2017 the firm decided that their trusty BAV-CB3 would benefit from a refresh and work on new 3D SolidWorks CAD designs began, with physical prototyping starting in earnest the following year. The design was tested rigorously, both in-house and in the field with end users.
Some eighteen months later, the all-new BAV-CB5 made its debut at Plantworx 2019. A well-used test prototype was shown to the public for the first time. This was much more than just a model name change; the new attachment has a completely different chassis, jaws and rams and whilst the same weight and width, is more compact for better machine stability. Crucially – and this is where the evolution comes in – the new model offers a far faster cycle time, with increased productivity.
Deliveries of new customer BAV-CB5 units will begin by Autumn 2019.
