The CEA has been approached by DFID with details of a Manufacturing Summit/Conference that will be held in London in January, for UK manufacturing companies who have or are interested in Africa.
UK Government is also interested to receive approaches from CEA Members who are already involved with investments, supply-chain and export relationships in the Region.
UK Government is hosting an African Investment Summit Manufacturing Investment-Forum in London between 14th-15th of January 2020.
The UK-Africa Investment Summit (UK-AIS) Manufacturing Event is a unique opportunity for UK companies to learn more about the possibilities of investing in manufacturing operations in Africa and to raise African governments’ awareness of UK investor needs. The event will feature; a keynote speaker address; presentations on specific manufacturing sub-sectors; one-to-one business engagement meetings with investors and investment promotion agencies.
The event is being particularly focused on sectors such as Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Consumables, Agri-processing, Construction Materials, Fast-moving Consumer Goods, Packaging and Electronics.
Investment promotion agencies and senior government officials from Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia and Uganda are expected to attend.
